Anita Trichel, DVM, Ph.D, DACLAM

Dr. Trichel graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992, this was followed by a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA in 1997. She is also a board-certified laboratory animal veterinarian (DACLAM). In addition to her career in research and laboratory animal medicine, she has over 20 years of experience as a private practice veterinarian working with dogs and cats. She enjoys working with families to help them keep their pets healthy and happy.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, two dogs, two cats, and her 22-year-old African Grey Parrot named Boudreaux.
